Export 2013 Audi Q5 Hybrid at US Auto Direct World Wide Delivery Call (888)316-2276 or (561)420-0331
"The 2013 Audi Q5 Hybrid will be Audi's first mass-production hybrid vehicle. It will feature a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 engine and eight-speed automatic transmission, and an electric motor will enable the engine to be stopped and restarted quickly in traffic, improving fuel economy. Combined, the two power plants will make 241 horsepower and an impressive 354 pound-feet of torque, and the power will be channeled through an all-wheel-drive system. When equipped with the standard turbocharged 2.0-liter engine, the Audi Q5 achieves 20 mpg city/27 mpg highway and 22 mpg combined, so we expect the Q5 Hybrid to reach 30 mpg combined.
Audi says the Q5 hybrid will make the 0-60-mph dash in 7 seconds flat. In Edmunds testing, a conventional Q5 with its 3.2-liter V6 reaches the same speed in 6.8 seconds. Audi also says the Q5 Hybrid can reach 100 km/h (62 mph) on power from only its lithium batteries and has a cruising range of a bit less than 2 miles at a pace of 60 km/h (37 mph).
Sounds good in theory, but we have driven a European prototype and found that the gas engine checks in early and often. Still, the Q5 Hybrid impressed us because it feels more like a small, sporty SUV than a hybrid. The packaging of the hybrid components looks as clean as anything you'd find in the hybrid versions of the Porsche Cayenne or Volkswagen Touareg. The Q5 Hybrid's lithium-ion battery is placed under the rear cargo floor where the spare tire used to be located, so it consumes a negligible amount of the Q5's 29.1 cubic feet of cargo capacity.
The Q5 Hybrid's features should be very similar to those of the regular model. This includes a hard-drive-based navigation and music server system, voice recognition and a wireless hotspot feature that allows passengers to access the Internet on up to eight devices. Nineteen-inch alloy wheels will be standard, with 20-inch wheels optional. The 2013 Q5 Hybrid will also be able to tow up to 4,400-pound trailer loads, Audi says.
No official pricing has been announced, but we expect the 2013 Audi Q5 Hybrid to start at around $42,000. That's not a huge rise compared to the regular Q5, but it would make it a fairly pricey choice for a small luxury crossover SUV. We'll certainly know more in the coming months, so check back for further news and driving impressions of the North American edition once it's available." - http://www.edmunds.com/audi/q5-hybrid/2013/#fullreview
